What kind of equipment do you use?

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III- it is a full frame 22.3 mega-pixel camera, and captures excellent photos. My go-to lenses are a 50mm, 16-35mm, and a 70-200mm. I always carry a backup camera, a flash, extra batteries and backup cards. Basically, prepared is my middle name. 


How many hours do you normally shoot for a wedding?

I recommend no less than 8 hours of photography coverage. Weddings are an all day affair, and I don’t want to miss a thing. 

How many photographs will we receive from our wedding?

All weddings are different, but depending on your package you will receive anywhere from 200-600 high resolution, edited photos. Not enough? You can always add more. 

What is your turn around time for images?

No one likes to wait, and not knowing how long you have to wait is even worse. That’s why I guarantee I’ll have your photos ready in just three weeks!

Will we have the rights to the photographs?

Yes, you own the rights to your photos. You can print, re-print, upload to Facebook, go crazy. The only thing your copyright prohibits is editing or changing the photos in anyway and the commercial sale or distribution of your photos. 

Do you edit the photos yourself?

Yes, I edit all of my own photos.

Do you do destination weddings?

I love shooting destination weddings! I travel often, and am passport ready. Just contact me for detailed pricing. 

My church does not allow camera flash inside.. what will you do?

No worries- my camera handles low light situations like a pro! 

What happens if you get sick or injured before our wedding and cannot shoot?

I’ve now shot a totally of 58 weddings, and I can proudly say that I’ve never missed or been late to a single one of them. The good news is, should something awful happen to me, I’m acquainted with a large network of photographers (some who are even family) that I can quickly arrange to take over. 

How far in advance should I book you?

Always better safe than sorry, but I would say absolutely no less than six months in advance- especially if your wedding is during the peak of the season. But, it never hurts to check if I still have your date available. 


Can I give you a list of shots I want?

Absolutely! In fact, I already have one waiting for you to customize. I want to make sure we don’t miss or overlook a thing on your wedding day. And a shot list is a great way for both you and me to prepare ahead of time. 


How much time do we need to allow for our wedding portraits?

I would recommend 45 minutes. I’ve spent less time, and I’ve spent more; but I think that 45 minutes to an hour will absolutely ensure we capture all of the photos you’re hoping for.
